David J. Hart - CEO of US MRKT
This is my first blog posting as CEO of US MRKT. I am Canadian-born (Montreal, Quebec), but have lived and worked in Miami, Florida for more than 35 years. I’m fluent in Spanish, French, and Portuguese. I graduated from high school here, went to university and law school here (go ‘Canes!), married here, had three children here, and got divorced here (but…good friends with my ex-wife!). I became a US citizen in 2000 and voted for the first time in that presidential election. I was a practicing immigration lawyer for 25 years and then decided to try something else…and here we are. This is my blog, and this is its first entry.
US MRKT is a digital sales platform that will promote and sell products and services, mainly from the United States, or on behalf of vendors seeking to access the US marketplace.
While we expect that the website will attract its share of potential direct buyers, we are also creating a network of so-called “Sales Associates” (SA) from all around the world, who will register to become a US MRKTsales associate and once affiliated, will receive a branded package of social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, for now). Each SA will decide what product or service they want to promote and will receive continuous training directly from the “Product Owner” (we call them POs). Twice a day (7 days per week), the PO will upload promotional content to www.usmrkt.com for all interested SAs to retrieve and use on their US MRKT-branded social media accounts, to attract potential buyers. Anyone who responds to a posting becomes a lead for that particular SA, who records that lead in the US MRKT’s Customer Relationship Management System (CRM) which, in turn, notifies the PO that a lead is pending, and then requires attention from the PO to generate a sale. Once a sale occurs, the SA receives his/her agreed-upon commission.
This will take some time to work out the kinks and opportunities, but we have an international team of experts working on this. I will introduce these talented people over the next weeks and share reports and updates as we progress.
